Late in 2018 we were approached by Marks to assist in the design and manufacturing of store fixtures for their new Mall Store concept.
Based on their premise of “Well Worn”, the client wanted a space that connected their branding to concept. For this project, we designed and manufactured a truly adjustable, wall merchandising system. Paired with a number of floor racks and merchandising tables, the result is a completely new look for this iconic Canadian retailor.
Modular and versatile, a simple system of slotted frames and stretchers that can be added in 2 and 4 foot sections. These frames can be on wheels or on levellers, wall mounted or free-standing, allowing you the flexibility to re-merchandise and re-design the store as required.
Additional merchandising opportunities were created through the use of alternate materials and display tools such as steel mesh panels and heavy duty steel display bins. The client wanted to evoke industrial elegance, with a goal of elevating the brand and attracting an ever evolving customer.
Allowing display space within the fixtures was essential for them to function as intended. The modular nature of the system also allowed for the client to integrate new technology pieces. Custom product scanners and wireless charging was worked into these fixtures to create a space that is current and cutting edge.
Additional impact was created through the use of felt backer panels, LED graphics and integrated lighting, particularly in the shoe displays throughout the store.
Additional components include a full signage program and small accessory displays. Magnetic rack-mount signage, table top signage, magnetic shelf talkers custom s-hooks and sunglass displays round out our assortment of small accessory items.
Rolling out across Canada this retail display solution from PragerNuform can easily transform to allow for endless merchandising possibilities.
The first store for this new concept is at Market Mall in Calgary, AB and has a footprint of 5000 sq ft. With future locations to come in Victoria, BC, Toronto, ON and Quebec City, this concept is sure to be a success. Below is a statement given from Meghan Vallance-Morin, Associate Vice-President (AVP), In-store Experience, as seen on retail-insider.com
“Our standard stores are very much a self-serve environment and this store is all about creating a personalized, one-to-one full-service environment. So the sitting rooms are completely re-designed with some really great sitting room call buttons that are plugged into the technology that the staff are wearing. We’ve got cell phone chargers in there too. Our footwear wall is another big piece that’s really different. It’s completely self-serve in the standalone stores and in our mall concept stores it’s completely full serve,” said Vallance-Morin.
